All We Can Tell You

It's Friday the 13th, and it's been raining
in short crazy violent bursts
all day, and yesterday too.

I listen to the news. The anchor says:
"A baby girl
drowned last night
when the rains
flooded the cellar
where she'd been sleeping
in her crib."

They interview a woman about the rain. She says:
"The drops
were the size
of EYEBALLS!
I walked
from my car
to the house
with my laundry,
and I
was
SOPPED!"

The forecaster says:
"It could rain anywhere, anytime. That's really all
we can tell you."
